Kaffeinated 2.0 Qatar 2018
Kaffeinated 2.0 is an engaging coffee festival where the passion of coffee shop owners and enthusiasts becomes reality. Organized by Vodafone in support of local businesses and promotion of coffee excellence, the festival was nothing but what the Qatar community needed.
Held on 18th - 21st of April at Katara Hall from 10am to 10pm, the event purposed to bring together the coffee lovers community and foster healthy relationships between the community and coffee houses around Qatar. Vodafone on the other hand was on a solid mission to donate all proceeds generated from coffee sales at the Vodafone café showcase which was powered by Empire Coffee to support Qatar Red Crescent’s charitable work. The event not only encouraged people to meet, discuss, and collaborate, but also provided a platform for innovation, and helped professionals improve their skill sets, through learning new things and competing while spreading passion and excitement.
Besides Coffee cafes showcasing their products and coffee enthusiasts enjoying special brews, the event was full of exciting activities such as the Latte Art Competition, the V60 & CHEMEX Filter Coffee and Barista skill classes whose main intent was to enable the community gain a better understanding of the coffee business in Qatar and advance their coffee knowledge.
The event also presented an opportunity for attendees to purchase quality coffee, coffee beans and coffee equipment and participate in brewing their own coffee.
Sponsors within the speciality coffee industry included one of our clients- X Café among others like Medium Cafe, participants such as December Café, la Marzocco and roasteries such as Earth Roastery.
Evidently, the coffee industry in Qatar is in a state of major transition, consumers are becoming more involved in brewing the perfect cup of coffee while coffee shop entrepreneurs are greatly invested in offering brewing classes for baristas as well as coffee lovers, organizing and participating in similar exciting festivals and events.
